This feed is just a welcome note with some instructions to get you started. If you are very familiar with RSS and newsreaders, you can probably delete this feed now (by right-clicking on this feed in Syndirella and selecting "Remove Subscription".

If not, here are some pointers:

If you ever find a new blog you wish to add to your subscription list, all you need to do is find a link to its feed (usually marked "XML" or "RSS" or "Syndicate this site"). Copy that URL, and then in Syndirella select Subscriptions > Add RSS Feed... (or just press "Insert"). Paste in the URL and hit enter, and you're good to go.

Note that many blogs do NOT have an RSS feed. Notably, blogspot and blogger blogs do not use RSS. In that case, the only way to get them into your newsreader is to set up a "Web Feed" in Syndirella.

Setting up a web feed is a little bit tricky and requires some knowledge of HTML. I suggest you download some of the web feed definitions from loveandcasinowar.com, load them into Syndirella, and then look at how they are set up. They are a little tricky to configure, but you should be able to figure it out.

Best shortcut in Syndirella: while reading a feed, pressing the spacebar will automatically take you to the next unread entry in the feed. If the current feed is all read, spacebar will take you to the next unread entry in the next unread feed.

Also note, that Syndirella also allows you to re-order the feeds on the left. Simply drag and drop feeds to the position you want them.

Pressing F5 will cause all feeds to be updated. All feeds get auto-updated every hour, but if you want to force an update just press F5.

There are a LOT of poker feeds and more being added daily. You may not want all of them. To delete a feed, just right-click on its name and select "Remove Subscription".

You should see a feed on your left right under "Welcome!" titled "Poker Feed News". I strongly suggest you do not delete this subscription -- I'll use that feed to send out periodic updates on new poker feeds for you. So if you want to stay current, that's probably the best way.

Formatting: I suggest you select a font for newsreading that you like, which is a nice benefit of using a newsreader. In Syndirella, click on "File > Preferences..." and then click "Change..." next to font. Select a font you like. I use Verdana 8pt, your preference may vary.

I also suggest clicking "In a new browser window" in the preferences screen, which will cause all links you click to open in their own browser.

If you have the hang of all of that, I suggest you right-click on the "Welcome!" feed on the left and click "Remove Subscription" since you know all you need to know! Happy reading!
