Good news: the World Poker Tour has re-signed with the Travel Channel, in a deal that gives them season 2 and an option for five more seasons. Link

Um... that's bad news for those of us who don't get the Travel Channel. :-(

You should sign up for cable... it's definitely worth it for the WPT alone!

Actually, there's a high likelihood they'll be releasing the WPT seasons on video. I - along with a bunch of other poker watchers - are crossing our fingers that they'll actually release extended versions of each tournament with much more poker footage than they showed on TV, but we'll have to wait and see on that.

Yeah, they definitely should! I thought Travel was one of those channels that's just standard for all cable providers... guess not! It's actually not that great a channel, but they do actually show a lot of Vegas programming in addition to the WPT.

I know it's playing in Vancouver and Montreal on CityTV: Link

I read online that TSN was showing WPT, as well as the WSOP and British Poker Million, but after searching TSN's listings I didn't find any poker broadcasts at all.

So your friends in Montreal may be out of luck, unless they have a satellite system that gets the USA Travel Channel.
