Kenichi is having a birthday party this weekend with some decent specials, including $4 large sake. I'm really disappointed I'll be out of town for it. I used to dislike Kenichi. There were all kinds of reports last year of their sushi not being up to quality, and they remain the priciest sushi place in town, but the meals I've had there this year have all been incredible. Their "Austin-style sashimi" dish is fantastic.
